The City of Athens signature annual event Travel Trade Athens 2018, now in its 6thyear, will be taking place on 8-9 October 2018, hosting selected international buyers focusing on Athens and Greece.
Travel Trade Athens is organized by the City of Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) in cooperation with the European Association of Tour Operators (ETOA). The goal of the event is to develop first-hand business relationships between top MICE, corporate and leisure buyers from across the globeand leading tourism suppliers from Athens and Greece as well as showcasingAthens as a year-round cultural, artistic, and modern citybreak and meetings industry destination.
Travel Trade Athens aims to attract more than 100 representatives of tour operators, travel agents, conference and event organizers from the US and Europe as well as media representatives to promote the Greek experience.
The first Travel Trade Athens took place in 2013 as part of the City’s strategy to actively promote Athens as a destination in the global travel industry. In just 5 years, TTA has managed to become the signature travel trade event for promoting Athens. It has become a successful platform for networking between established travel trade and meetings professionals from across the world with Greek suppliers. With over 12,000 B2B pre-scheduled meetings, taking place in the past five years, Travel Trade Athens has attracted more than 420 selected hosted buyers from 35 countries representing Europe, USA, Asia, Australia and other significant markets.
