The Berlin Congress Fund is a funding programme initiated by the State of Berlin to restart Berlin’s event industry.
Together with the city of Berlin, the aim of the fund is to support and encourage all event organisers to realise planned B2B events in Berlin’s conference hotels and event locations. The Berlin Congress Fund provides financial support amounting to a possible total of max. 60 euros for each in-person attendee.
In this way, the initiators want to encourage meeting planners to securely plan and hold their professional, industry or trade event in Berlin despite the constraints and uncertainties during the COVID-19 pandemic. This support is designed for both analogue and hybrid events.
In addition, the Berlin Congress Fund places a particular emphasis on promoting the sustainable event and business management. Events which meet particular sustainability criteria in the comprehensive Sustainable Event Scorecard are eligible for additional funding.
Supported by the Union of International Associations (UIA), the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) and the Interel Group, the global public affairs and association management consultancy, Headquarters Magazines serve the needs of international associations organising worldwide congresses.
