Switzerland tourism launches a new tool for organisers of business meetings: an Online Meeting Planner on MySwitzerland.com/meetingplanner. The new Online Meeting Planner on MySwitzerland.com/meetingplanner includes around 700 conference centres, seminar hotels and designated event locations in Switzerland. Furthermore it provides a wide range of social programme options and shows a range of possible transportation to and within the country. After modifying the search criteria, the tool provides the results in an overview including detailed description of the respective destination, its venues and on-site activities – with pictures and price indications. The shortlist can be sent to clients or colleagues by e-mail or saved as a PDF and can be edited anytime. The Online Meeting Planner is free and available in English, German and French. It includes the possibility to contact the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau (SCIB) and receive a non-binding offer as well as support in the planning.
Business meetings - a main source of Tourism in Switzerland
Almost every fifth hotel overnight is generated by the MICE sector. SCIB issued the «Meetings Report Switzerland 2014» which shows the development of Switzerland as a meeting destination over a period of three years. It highlights that Switzerland is still competitive in the MICE business and that business meetings have increased over recent years – especially in rural areas. In order to tap the full potential, consultancy and support in organising business meetings play a mayor role for Switzerland Tourism worldwide. This is where the new tools comes in and helps with the planning of the ideal meeting.
